Best Shampoo for hair that gets quickly greasy - but with flaky scalp?

I've tried many, from the expensive to the cheap - non seem to work. I'm currently using one from 'Bad Hair', but if this doesn't work, I don't know what will! Does anyone have any suggestions?Best Shampoo for hair that gets quickly greasy - but with flaky scalp?
Vosvene is good. Or a simple Head and Shoulders. If your hair is greasy, wash it less. Mine used to get very greasy very fast, and then I started washing it about once a week and just tying it back if it looked awful. My hair lasted much longer looking good!Best Shampoo for hair that gets quickly greasy - but with flaky scalp?
I have this exact same problem,

Head and shoulders never ever worked for me it just made it worse,

Treseme was awful it made my hair feel lank, heavy and unwashed,

Herbal essances used to be the only thing that worked but now it doesnt even work!

I heard from a friend that T-Zone is supposed to leave it feeling litterally squeeky clean i think it is made by Neutragina :)

that is the one im going to try :)

hope this helps :)

treseme is what i use.. but i have the opposite to what u have..my hair goes dry. try using head and shoulders if that dosent work.. wash ur hair every other day. dont put any products in your hair, and always towel dry xxxx
Try Herbal Essences Degunkify OR drama clean! They both work AMAZING. After one wash, the grease was all gone. Make sure you wash your hair once every other dday.

If you don't like those products , try Head%26amp;SHoulders
Maby vosene.

Dry scalp shampoo, help please!?

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone had used any of these shampoos and which would they recommend? I have a dry, itchy scalp with lots of dandruff (and I also get a lot of spots on my head too) and I also have very sensitive skin.

These are the shampoos:

E45 dry scalp shampoo

Eucerin dry scalp relief shampoo

Neutrogena T/Gel shampoo for sensitive scalp

And would you suggest I also use conditioner? And if yes could you recommend one for me to use?

Thanks very much!

;)Dry scalp shampoo, help please!?
My daughter had a very itchy and flaky scalp so I bought her some of the T/Gel shampoo and it cleared it right up within a couple of weeks. It's probably best not to use a conditioner but if you do want to maybe just use it on the ends of your hair. Good luck xDry scalp shampoo, help please!?
Hi,

Most shampoos and conditioners contain far too much:

SLS

Sodium lauryl sulphate is considered to be the most harmful - it is used in testing laboratories as the standard ingredient (upon which all other substances are compared) for irritating the skin. A solution of just 2% SLS can increase skin thickness, cause irritation, inflammation, and increase other forms of immune activity in the skin. )

%26amp; Parabens

Some reports suggest that parabens may cause skin irritation, rash, dermatitis, and allergic skin reactions. Children may be more at risk as their skin is thinner, allowing harmful substances to be more easily absorbed. Concerns have been raised about the long-term health risks of using products containing parabens.

I use a natural hair care remedy, Tea Tree Anti Dandruff shampoo which has had some glowing reports.

You can buy this online from http://www.trustwilliam.com/Skin-Care/Au鈥?/a> with free delivery and if you spend over 拢20 you should use code 'sm20' at the checkout to get a 20% discount!!!

Here are some comments of other users of this shampoo:

';The products do what they advertise especially the anti dandruff shampoo. This we alternate with the normal tea tree shampoo.';

'; better than others that i have used my dandruff has nearly gone great stuff';

I hope this helps!!!
I have the same problem, ever since i was born my scalp has been dry and itchy, but in the last 3 months or so ive been using this shampoo called Dermarest Medicated Psoriasis Shampoo + Conditioner, it works great,i think this brand of shampoo is 10x better than Head and Shoulders, i get skin build-up on my scalp but be warned, if you itch your scalp before you get a shower it will sting very bad, the shampoo itself is like 7 dollars at wal-mart or where ever you shop. Hope this helps
I recommend Selsun Blue and it comes in a few different kinds. I say use it 3-4 times a week and leave it on for a couple minutes before rinsing out. Make sure you are applying it to your scalp and really massage it into it.
neutrogena triple moisture shampoos and conditioners
try znp soap it lathers like a shampoo, it helped me alot with similiar problem

What is the best shampoo and conditioner for dry scalp and frizzy hair?

loads of answers already about the frizzy hair so i will help on the rest...

the first thing you need to check is your diet. The fact that you have dry ahir and scalp means that something is lacking. you may need to check your diet, take multi -vits ( dont bother with expensive things advertised especially for hair they arent worth it) ... without question you need to up your water in take.

for a good cheap shampoo for dry scalp Boots do their own version. dont make the mistake of using anti - dandruff as this is not what you have and could actually make the problem worse.

Also when you condition your hair you need to make sure that you towel dry your hair BEFORE applying the conditioner and massage your scalp to increase the circulation and also rub some of the conditioning agents into your skin.

whne you hair and skin are that dry they become very absorbant, so if you dont remove some of that water first there is no space for the conditioner to go in.

you would benefit from a professional treatment to give the actual hair a bit of a kick start but you have to remember that the hair that is already there is dead so any work on it is purely cosmetic. focus your attention on maing sure that the new hair that grows is in better condition.

It can also be worth getting checked up at the GP as dry hair and scalp can sometime indicate thyroid issues or a vitamin deficiency, ( often strict vegetarians have this problem).

Lastly, just remember that you are never going to alter the actual type of your hair, it will never end up soft and silky, but you should be able to get it looking healthy and shinny and more manageable.

Hope that helps a littleWhat is the best shampoo and conditioner for dry scalp and frizzy hair?
K Pak hair recononstructor is wonderful, but very expensive! I also use Garneir Long and Strong. Even if your hair is not long, it really helps keep it healthy and keeps the frizz down. After washing, I use frizz ease hair serum. Works like a charm. What is the best shampoo and conditioner for dry scalp and frizzy hair?
try the frizz ease shampoo and conditioner but i use pantene shampoo and conditioners and i absolutely love it! it smells great, feels great, and of course, it looks great! Try it for a while to see if it works for you! it helps with split ends and split ends is usually what causes frizziness.

For 6 month I've been using Marc Anthony and it's working really good

  • My scalp and hair is greasy, wats a good shampoo?

My scalp and hair starts feeling greasy again the day after i wash it. wat shampoo and conditioner will help without drying my hair out. also wat brand makes it soft and silkyMy scalp and hair is greasy, wats a good shampoo?
Aussie-Its called Cleanse and Mend.My scalp and hair is greasy, wats a good shampoo?
Look for any shampoo that is designed to clean oily hair, or hair that is filled with product. You don't want a deep cleaning shampoo, because that WILL strip your hair and make it too dry. I just use one of the cheap shampoos at Walmart, and it cleans my hair fine.

For conditioner, though, there is only one that I will ever recommend.John Frieda Weatherworks conditioner, with Frizzease, is AMAZING.

    http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d鈥?/a>

This will make your hair super silky and soft, without making it greasy. I have pretty dry hair, and I've tried everything out there. This is the only conditioner that will really make your hair feel nice without gunking it up or making it greasy. Natural, soft hair is all you get. Its awesome.

I had it recommended to me by one of the people who worked there, too!
Okay so I have like the same exact problem. Then I started using head and shoulders which makes your hair feel really good my hair like doesn't get oily. But when I et out of the shower I use a dove replenishing spray and it keeps your hair soft and silky without making it oily.
    head and shoulders!

people think it's just for people with dandruff

but i have really greasy hair and this stuff really helps!

it smells great too- since i've started using it i've gotten some comments on how good my hair is looking

seriously it's great and makes it so shiny :)
Paul Mitchell dandruff control w/ tea tree oil. Dandruff not necessary.

Also, contrary to what Donia said, you should not be washing your hair every day, that's the problem.
    You should try Sunsilk.

You can get it in shampoo and conditioner for pretty cheap at supermarkets!

It works GREAT to make your hair silky and soft! And it keeps mine from being greasy!

    Good luck!

    =]
I use to use dove until it started to bother me, now I make my own old fashion shampoo %26amp; soap :P

Maybe you should take a shower everyday!
pantenee winter rtenewal or something tht useta happen to me and then i tryed it and now my hair is sooo nice!

use a clarifying shampoo and rinse with a little vinegar and warm water let it sit on your hair for a few min. and rinse well. this should work good luck hope this helped.
use sun light dish soap, wash, rince and repeat,if you have ever dyed your hair and find it too much or can't get the color off the sides of your face and neck area, sunlight dish soap works great!
use a clarifying shampoo.i use pantene pro v ';purify'; i think thats what its called. anyways..use a clarifying shampoo and if you need conditioner only do the bottom of your hair...dont put the conditioner close to your scalp
rinse your hair out with warm water and scrub your scalp with your fingertips. =]

my friend had this happen to her too.
You can get special tonics for it but make sure that you rinse your hair properly the only time its ok to leave products in is if you have dry ends in which case you leave condtioner on the ends
apple cider vinegar about 3 inches to 3 cups water vinegar apple cider will also make your hair shine and act like a conditioner
    try water!
use less of the stuff your useing too much this happed to me use a littel bit at a time an if you need more just add a small amount
Mix a little bit of baking soda into your shampoo and that will help it...
there is a shampoo u can buy thats exactly for that i cant remember the name right now but if u ask ur hair stylist then imm sure she'll kno =)
by using a different shampoo %26amp; conditioner after you have finished using your other shampoo %26amp; conditioner (when youve used it all up in the bottle) =D
