What is the best shampoo for dry scalp?

I've been using head n shoulders for many years and it has been working great, but up until couple of months ago i got this really dry spot right by my forhead and it goes all along the front of my head. I've dried switching to a different head n shoulders but it keeps drying my hair. I got a different conditioner, which works for my hair, but not my scalp. There's different kinds you can get, like aloe or medicated, etc. Leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse it out and be sure to use it around 3 times a week. If it keeps coming back, you might want to go to the doctor...this happened to me my whole childhood and I also had really dry skin behind my ears and stuff too. I found out that I have a condition called seborrheic dermatitis, which went away for a while but eventually came back. I found out I can expect to have it my whole life, I just need to take care of it to keep it from getting bad. The doctor can prescribe you a medicated shampoo that works really well. Also, if you get the dry skin behind your ears or anything, keep it really moisturized with vaseline or lotion of some sort. Drink a lot of water. But I have to say that your case sounds VERY familiar and you might have a case of psoriasis. It can be treated, just go to the doctor and he will subscribe you something if that is the case.





Otherwise, you might have a dry scalp, and that's it. Just keep using conditioner and wash your hair often, but too hot of water can really dry out your hair too. For dry scalps i also recommend TreSemme. I used to use it and it REALLY provides LOTS of moisture! You could also try putting Vaseline on the dry area of your scalp.
