What is the best shampoo for dry scalp?

I've been using head n shoulders for many years and it has been working great, but up until couple of months ago i got this really dry spot right by my forhead and it goes all along the front of my head. I've dried switching to a different head n shoulders but it keeps drying my hair. I got a different conditioner, which works for my hair, but not my scalp. Help!!!What is the best shampoo for dry scalp?
Selsun Blue actually works really well. There's different kinds you can get, like aloe or medicated, etc. Leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse it out and be sure to use it around 3 times a week. If it keeps coming back, you might want to go to the doctor...this happened to me my whole childhood and I also had really dry skin behind my ears and stuff too. I found out that I have a condition called seborrheic dermatitis, which went away for a while but eventually came back. I found out I can expect to have it my whole life, I just need to take care of it to keep it from getting bad. The doctor can prescribe you a medicated shampoo that works really well. Also, if you get the dry skin behind your ears or anything, keep it really moisturized with vaseline or lotion of some sort. Drink a lot of water. It could just be the type of skin/hair you have that's causing it. Good luck! --Also, washing your hair too often can dry it out. What is the best shampoo for dry scalp?
Well there is head and shoulders dry scalp.

But I have to say that your case sounds VERY familiar and you might have a case of psoriasis. It can be treated, just go to the doctor and he will subscribe you something if that is the case.

Otherwise, you might have a dry scalp, and that's it. Just keep using conditioner and wash your hair often, but too hot of water can really dry out your hair too. For dry scalps i also recommend TreSemme. I used to use it and it REALLY provides LOTS of moisture! You could also try putting Vaseline on the dry area of your scalp.
